    Choose an art auction*
    Find an auction that specialises in works of art or whose main focus is works of art, e.g. paintings, sculptures, graphics, etc. The ideal place is our Verum.ART platform, rich in works and collections, simple and intuitive in operation.

    Read more about auctions
    Carefully read information about the auction you decide on, including the catalogue, lists of works of art, collection, date and place of the selected auction.

    Check conditions of participation
    Read the terms and conditions of participation in the selected auction, which include all information on registration, deposit and registration fees.

    Sign up
    If the auction requires signing up, do so in accordance with the organiser’s instructions. This may be online registration on Verum.ART, another platform or in person at the auction office. There you’ll receive the auction number that identifies you as the participant in the art auction.

    Prepare for the auction
    Take a close look at the works to be put up for auction before the auction. Gather information on artists, works of art and estimate your interest and maximum amounts that you wish to allocate to the auctioned works. On our platform you may find plenty of information about artists, their works and collections.

    Auction started
    Come to the venue of the stationary auction or join it online, depending on the way that the auction is organised. Complete all the paperwork that is essential to participate in this event.

    Notify your participation
    When, at the auction, a work of art that you are interested in is put up for auction, notify your participation by raising your hand (in traditional auctions) or by using available online options.

    Bid
    Actively participate in bidding by raising bids according to your price limit. Remember that the auctioning of works of art can be intense, so be prepared to react quickly and competitively. It is important to be confident and firm.

    Win and pay
    If you win the bid, make payment in accordance with the terms and conditions of the auction. Ensure that all requirements regarding the payment, delivery and collection of the works of art are clear and understandable.

    Collect your purchased work of art
    After payment, collect your purchased work of art as agreed with the auction organiser.
