    Zofia Błażko
Zofia Błażko was born in 1986 in Gdynia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk with a degree in painting (diploma from Prof. Maciej Świeszewski), BA degree in photography (diploma from Prof. Witold Węgrzyn) and from the Medical Academy in Gdansk with a postgraduate diploma in art therapy. Fascinated by the life and works of French painters, after graduation she went to Paris, where she stayed at the Jour et Nuit Culture artist residency, followed by Rivoli 59. In 2014, she became the first ever Polish woman to be given the opportunity to design and realize the decoration of the facade of the six-story building at 59 rue de Rivoli, which is the artistic cradle of the bohemianism of modern Paris. In search of new inspiration, the artist went to artist residencies in 2015: first to Senegal's capital Dakar, then to the Shangyuan Art Museum in Beijing, and in 2018 to the St. Petersburg Art Residency in St. Petersburg. Despite her young age, Zofia Błażko is recognized on the world stage. In 2012 and 2013 she obtained Polish price records at Young Art Młoda Sztuka auctions. Her name was ranked 47th among the best Polish artists active on the art market after 1945 in the "Kompas Sztuki 2017" ranking, published in "Rzeczpospolita". The artist has participated in more than a dozen group exhibitions, including in National Museum of History, in Tirana (Albania, 2021), Visual Art Centre (Singapore, 2021), Sunny Art Centre in London (UK, 2022), Triada Gallery in Gdańsk (Poland, 2022), Zofia Weiss Gallery in Krakow (Poland, 2023) and Rivoli 59 in Paris (France, 2023). Zofia Blazko has had nine solo exhibitions, including at: Jour et Nuit Culture in Paris (France, 2012), Witkacy Theater Gallery in Zakopane (Poland, 2016), St. Petersburg Art Residency in St. Petersburg (Russia, 2018), V.A Gallery Poland in Wysogotowo (Poland, 2022) and at the 101 Project Gallery in Warsaw (Poland, 2023).
