I was born in 1986 in Wroclaw. In 2005, I graduated from the Stanislaw Kopystyński Secondary School of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. I graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw in 2010. In painting, I draw inspiration from nature, technique and 17th-century Dutch painting, including Rembrandt. Charoscuro is very important to me in my work, I am interested in the subtle play of light and shadow that takes place on the steel surface of my animals. I love nature and animals. Wildlife, as well as domesticated nature, is very close to my heart. One of the inspirations for my series were old 18th- and 19th-century hand-painted albums of wild and exotic animals, created by artists who sailed into the unknown on distant research expeditions. I am also a fan of technical thought from the turn of the 20th century. Iron, rivets, steel, steam plus gear mechanisms, which are directly related to the industrial revolution, are very inspiring to me. I like to combine contradictory subjects, such as nature with technology, in this way I create a kind of artistic oxymoron. I am also interested in global warming, climate change and the current great extinction of various animal species in the world, which is blamed on man. Therefore, I depict in my paintings a world that may become our future, when most animals will become extinct and be replaced by mechanical, steel copies.
